I’ve been writing this blog for a little while now and I’ve noticed a trend.  There are a growing number of book stores that sell both used and new books and I think this is brilliant.  I don’t often buy new books any more but sometimes you can’t find what you’re looking for used and a lot of new books do have wonderful cover art.  The Book Cove sells a broad range of both new and ‘out of print’ books and a great selection of youth and children’s books. They also sell journals, cards etc. and within the same store is Pawling Antiques – a multi-dealer shop with lots of little cabinets to poke around in.  I found this tiny little ceramic mouse and he had to come home with me – I don’t usually buy cutesy things but, he had just the right look about him and his price tag was very persuasive at only $6.  We asked for a recommendation for lunch and were told McKinney & Doyle is the place, so we went and it is.  Oh and I nearly forgot…shout out to the lovely Max!
