This is one of my very favorite museums. The EG House celebrates all things Gorey in the house where he lived until his death in 2000. An avid collector of ephemera, some of which made it into his drawings (ask about the collection of tassels that they have matched to specific pieces of his work), the house contains some of his personal belongings alongside changing exhibitions of his commissioned book covers and his own work. Make sure you do the scavenger hunt – to find all twenty-six of the Gashlycrumb Tinies and visit The Doubtful Guest in the garden. The museum shop is also most definitely worth a mention. They are currently selling etchings from plates made by EG as well as prints, books, pins, mugs, totes, cards, earrings, jigsaws, t-shirts and posters.
