Beautiful on the outside, welcoming and stacked floor to ceiling on the inside.  Harbor Books on Main St, Old Saybrook is the perfect place to browse for a little holiday reading.  They sell a mixture of old and new. The new focused on local interest including an extensive section on Katharine Hepburn who spent a good part of her life in CT and retired to Old Saybrook in 1997.

Harbor Books has all the usual sections – classics, biography, children’s, romance, animals.  You’re sure to find something to tickle your fancy.  Of course, I’m not the least bit biased because the nice chap that runs this bookstore is also from the UK.  Not at all.
